Parents/Guardians

Birthday Treats:

Birthdays are special events for children. We welcome birthday treats at the school but ask parents follow a few simple guidelines.

We ask that treats are dropped off in the office, and school staff will deliver the treats to the classroom. In addition, we ask that balloons, flowers, etc. are not brought to school as those types of items are best given at home.

Prior to sending any treats, please contact your child’s teacher so he/she can allow time for the celebration. Please provide paper plates and napkins.  Parents are not allowed in the classroom for the celebration.

Students may bring party invitations for parties to be held off campus, but must invite everyone in the class or only boys/girls as appropriate.

Snack Safely

Beartooth Elementary has many students with a variety of food allergies and students who adhere to gluten-free diets.  We encourage low-sugar, nut-free snacks in our school.  For a list of nut-free and egg-free snacks please visit this Snack Safely Guide.  (Scroll to the bottom to download the guide.)  A list of gluten-free snack ideas can be downloaded here.

Inclement Weather Information

We've been so fortunate to have such a beautiful autumn.  As we look forward, we'll start to see more snow in our weather forecasts. Our friends at the Billings Office of the National Weather Service are making it easier than ever to be prepared.  You can find the most up-to-date weather forecasts and information at:

For school specific information, we will update our website (www.billingsschools.org), our facebook page (facebook.com/billingsschools), our Twitter feed (twitter.com/BillingsSchools or @billingsschools.org), and will send out a newsletter should the weather cause significant delays or possible cancellation of classes.
